From dire mistakes to smooth sailing and back, living out my twenties to the fullest in the city that never sleeps. Best rollercoaster ride ever created.

Success isn’t reaching a certain goal or having tangible achievements every time.  It is giving your all and looking back without regrets.

Telling someone to think of a worse case so that they stop wallowing in self-pity is like throwing Guilt into the nasty mix of emotions.  Don’t do it.

Constructive criticism will sting each and every time, no matter the conscious effort to accept it graciously.  Be glad that someone cares enough to work on your improvement.  And be glad that you have an emotional capability that surpasses that of a robot.  Just sayin’

The reputation you have is of your own doing.  Don’t prove people right and they won’t have a leg to stand on.  Just sayin’

I still remember the summer before college. I couldn’t believe that I was going to be living so far from my nest. I remember the first year of school, trying to find a niche. I remember the moment of epiphany in Developmental Psych when I decided that I was going to pursue a nursing major, I even remember where I sat in the back of the lecture hall. I recollect how much I dreaded studying for some classes, but when the time came, all I focused on was getting the task done.

Now beyond all that are scarier, but more exciting endeavors. Maybe one day I’ll look back and remember how carefree I am in comparison. Or I will enjoy the notion of infinite possibilities. Who knows if the people in my life will remain there (though I sincerely hope they will). Who knows if I will find myself loving or hating the educational path I chose from thin air.

All I feel for sure right now is relief that the past has brought me so far and given me more opportunities to step further still.
